ABOUT ABOUT
The economy in the United States is down. Dentistry, like many other professions and businesses, has been negatively affected and many patients are putting off work recommended or cannot afford to proceed. Some dentists have reduced working hours and staff, some have sold their practices, some are looking for alternative ways to increase income such as dermal fillers.

The fact is that there is probably more than enough work in your own practice right now on your own patients to get you busy again. Dr. Small has felt the slowdown as well but has developed a system for educating and informing new and existing patients about needed restorative dentistry.

The Five Keys to getting busy again:

• Comprehensive examination
• Patient education and communication
• Office environment and staff
• Efficient and excellent dentistry
• Appropriate scheduling , fees, and collection

Spending a day with Dr. Small will help motivate you to educate your patients about needed restorative dentistry and increase your case acceptance.

Hands-on exercises with examination procedures, patient education techniques including communication skills and role playing all will be used to help you improve your diagnostic, clinical and communication skills.

Educational objectives:

On completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
• Evaluate the various aspects of the office environment that create the value proposition
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of their current case presentation techniques
• Explore treatment planning options and how to communicate the value of different plans to the patient
• Offer appropriate treatment plans
• Learn new ways to motivate your patients to a higher level of clinical dentistry.
